Bred by Jenneke van Doorn and Trudie van Lieshout, Brody was imported into the UK by Linda Collins to include in her breeding programme. He passed on some lovely qualities to his progeny, including excellent conformation and soundness of movement, as well as his wonderful temperament and working ability.
Only lightly shown he won his 1st CC at Crufts 1999, his 2nd CC at Bournemouth and his crown at Driffield the same year, he also gained 3 RCCs and retired from the show ring in 2000.
A very useful stud, Brody has sired 13 show champions to date (2009), including my Lui, 2 of whom gained their titles last year, as well as a great number of CC, RCC (this includes Ruby) and stud book number winners (Coco too). He also has the accolade of being sire to the first female full champion, Champion Adinas Mughetto JW, bred by Diana & Keith Patchett. Four year old Stella won the coveted title & the Guns Award at Dukeries all Age FT in Warwickshire, handled by Rory Major in January 2009.
Over the past few years, he was only beaten for Top Sire by Linda's other import, Epithelium Oracolo with Wynsett and stood second in the competition last year (2008).
After Linda’s death in 2005, Brody went to live with friends in Derby, enjoying life in the slow lane, his last appearance was at the ISCGB champ show in June 2008 sitting quietly in the shade.
